Girard-Perregaux mens replica is about to release a new version of the still new Chrono Hawk called the Hollywoodland. An unofficial homage to the movie making capital of the world, the Chrono Hawk Hollywoodland is the latest effort in the brand's focus on entering the world of Hollywood. In 2012 Girard-Perregaux announced that it was going to be a sponsor and founding supporter of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The museum is currently in construction and will stand as an important cinema museum here in Los Angeles.
Despite sounding like it, the Girard-Perregaux Chrono Hawk Hollywoodland Replica is not going to be a limited edition replica watch. Instead, it will sit as part of the larger Chrono Hawk collection. There will be two versions of the Hollywoodland replica watch, with one having a darker gray dial (ref. 49970-34-232-BB6A) and the other a lighter dial (ref. 49970-34-132-BB6A). We aren't going to discuss the Chrono Hawk replica watch at length again, but for more information about the replica watch read our aBlogtoreplica watch hands-on Chrono Hawk coverage here.
What is most unique about the Chrono Hawk Hollywoodland replica watches are the case materials. The 44mm wide case is produced in all black ceramic, while the bezel and dial accents are in 18k rose gold. Black and gold typically makes for a nice combination, and in this case (especially because the gold is brushed) the replica watch has a high-end, but not exactly blingy look.
The Girard-Perregaux Hawk collection consists of the Sea Hawk diver and the Chrono Hawk chronograph. The case is water resistant to 100 meters and has an excellent modern feel to it (though it is a large replica watch). Attached to the replica watch is an alligator strap with a rubber liner.
